Join us for a weekend packed with adventure, learning, and fun for all ages (4 to 84) as part of our high learning potential community! Why attend? The Be Curious Weekend is more than just a fun getaway—it’s an opportunity for children and families to explore, challenge themselves, and connect in a supportive, like-minded community. Children with high learning potential and Dual Multiple Exceptionality (DME) often need experiences that stretch their creativity, teamwork, and confidence. This event provides just that, offering a series of hands-on activities that not only give opportunities to build new skills, but also encourage social connections with peers who share similar strengths and interests. It’s a weekend to try new things, meet new people and build friendships, and take on challenges in a fun, safe environment. Set in the beautiful and historic Beaumanor Hall, this event is all about encouraging creativity, teamwork, and confidence-building. The activities are designed to foster problem-solving, communication, and resilience, all run by experienced and highly qualified staff to ensure a safe and enriching experience. 2026 Theme: WWII
Next year’s theme brings the site’s rich World War II history to life. Children will have the chance to explore wartime secrets, crack Morse code messages, and solve spy-themed mysteries—immersive challenges that engage the imagination and inspire curiosity.
It’s more than a weekend away—it’s a weekend to grow, connect, and be curious.
