Surrey Explorers is a volunteer-led local branch of the national charity Potential Plus UK. The Explorers Club supports families with children with high learning potential and helps the young people to explore topics in a group environment. All talks and sessions are delivered by experienced speakers, teachers, tutors or demonstrators, who inspire children to think creatively and critically and help them to gain experience and be inspired to explore, create and make. Parents/carers are very welcome to stay on site with their child if they wish, as this is often an opportunity to meet with other parents and share experiences. Surrey Explorers ensures that there are appropriate adult:child ratios for the activity. Session Description and Agenda Taught around a table in a small group setting, these sessions encourage discussion and problem-solving. Emiko will introduce children to a variety of mathematical challenges that go beyond the standard classroom experience and stretch their thinking. Emiko has been delivering sessions with Surrey Explorers for many years and is known for creating a supportive environment. His sessions are perfect for young maths enthusiasts who enjoy exploring new ideas and spending time with other children who share a love of mathematics. Frequent outdoor breaks. Parents are welcome to stay. Recommended Age 8 – 13
